Article for discussion on OER projects

For those interested in Open Educational Resources, I recommend the this article:

An Interview with Jeff Gallant from Affordable Learning Georgia (ALG)

By Stefanie Panke for AACE Review, July 5th 2018

The interview covers the approach they have taken, some of the data that shows success and their view that the real power comes as courses are transformed taking advantage of "the 5R Permissions of OER" to create course materials completely aligned with the faculty defined goals for the course.

"The 5R Permissions of OER – Retain, Reuse, Revise, Remix and Redistribute – come with an added responsibility of taking the time to put those permissions into use."

Do you have a course that you would like to revise or redesign using Open or low cost resources?  Would you like to see more on this subject?
