The OLC Institute for Professional Development offers virtual learning opportunities for educators at any stage of their online teaching career.  

Online Teaching Certificate Programs: Which Program Is Right For You?  This program prepares educators to teach and improve online courses using the OLC Pillars of Quality in Online Education: learning effectiveness, scale, faculty and student satisfaction, and access.   

The OLC Mastery Series Program emphasizes theory and application of research on key topics and culminates in a Recognition of Masteryin a topic. Each series consists of three workshops that help you explore relevant research and use that research to help you design an effective teaching and learning environment.OLC now offers eight Mastery Series topics: 

OLC Workshops allow you to focus on just those topics that interest you or find electives for certificate program. 

How to pay for classes?  Take a look at the Education Benefits from the University.  If you are actively working and have had one year of continuous, benefit eligible service, you may be able to use the University Education Benefit to pay for OLC training.
