Army ROTC is often called “one of the best leadership courses in America.” When you consider all that UVa-Wise’s ROTC program has to offer, you’ll find it hard to argue with that statement. Practical, hands-on leadership training, team building and problem solving skills development, the opportunity to have the Army pay for college, and a commission upon graduation . . . it doesn’t get much better!

At UVa-Wise, our team is committed to the success of every student – both here at school and in the future. Our outstanding group of students (“Cadets”) and faculty (“cadre”) share similar goals and work hard to help fellow Cadets achieve their own goals. This past year, one of our Cadets was ranked among the top 25 of all seniors in the entire nation (approximately 4,500), and nearly all of our seniors received their choice of duty after college. Our cadre have significant operational experience in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places around the world; they’re experts at sharing that experience with our Cadets and truly enjoy doing so.
